The Huskies played their home games at Alaska Airlines Arena and are members of the Pacific-10 Conference. As the winner of the 2011 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball tournament, the Huskies earn an automatic bid in the NCAA tournament, the school's 16th appearance in the NCAA tournament. At the national tournament, the Huskies beat Georgia in the second round before falling to eventual Elite Eight contender North Carolina in the third round. They finished the season with a 24–11 record.
